Nothing brings a bit of spring-time into your home during the dreary days of winter like flowers. Even an inexpensive grocery store bouquet can add warmth and personality to your home, especially when displayed in an antique or vintage vase.

Vases come in all shapes and sizes, many different colors, materials and prices. Whether you want to use your grandmother’s antique Waterford crystal vase or a pretty, vintage blue mason jar, the effect in your home and on your psyche can be the same.

Let’s face it, who could not use another milk glass vase or two for example for their collection? While at the Rare Bird, we always love when you come in shopping, but you can also shop your home for a great vase. Think outside the box – teacups, jars, gravy boats, pottery, crystal glasses, urns . . . there are so many items that will make a great vase. You can always put a glass inside of something you are not sure is quite watertight.

Check out these ideas we had today for inspiration in your own home.
